Description: The name of Alexander Bogomazov has long been hidden in the leading figures of the Russian avant-garde movement. Despite the 1980s the artist`s paintings have been displayed at numerous exhibitions of his theoretical works have been periodically published, hi, been virtually unknown to the Russian speaking public until recently. After a long period of neglect, the first exhibition of Bogomazov`s in 1966 at the Republican House of Writers in Kiev. After this, there again followed years of silence. A private collection of Bogomazov`s work went on display in Toulouse in 1991 and included a catalogue a catalogue in French.
